It is not a strange thing when the word ‘gate’ is mentioned or being referred to rather it is seen as a common object which cannot be harmful to human destiny. It may sound strange when the Psalmist, with a command tone charged thus, “Lift up your heads, O ye gates” (Psalm 24:7). The Psalmist was sensitive to the plight of situations around him and have no choice than to command the gates. Many people never take cognizance of events surrounding their lives because they believe if a road is closed, they can take another route. No, you don’t have to. To fulfill destiny, you must not be a coward at the gate that leads to your victory because at the gate of destiny, there are powers that are ready to chase you back except you are filled with the power of the Holy Ghost and determine to go through. The Psalmist was not scared to confront the gates nor intimidated to command the gates to lift up their heads.
The truth is, the scripture helps a lot to unravel the mystery of ‘what ‘gate’ entails and it will also take the help of the Holy Spirit to understand this mystery.
